In December of 1965 and January of 1966, respectively, Harrison proposed and wedded his first wife Patti Boyd. (see chart) Three significant correlations parallel the events in these months. The Moon and Venus represent the relational side within all of us and specifically symbolize the feminine side of the male psyche. Three progressed planets that Harrison was undergoing involving the Sun, Moon, and Venus allude to an integration of the feminine and masculine parts of Harrison's psyche. Progressed Moon opposed George's Sun; this can symbolize an integration of the feeling, relational side of one's nature with the striving, creative, goal-oriented self, and, in Harrison's case, this symbolized more than a mere internal integration but correlated with a literal marriage. Secondly, the progressed Sun conjoined Harrison's natal Venus. During this period, our ego identity becomes intimately involved and focused upon relationships and, also, in Harrison's case, art and creation. Finally, progressed Venus conjoined Harrison's natal Descendant. Both Venus and the Descendant symbolize aspects of our relational nature. The Descendant emphasizes the interpersonal one-on-one dynamic, the give and take of sharing, and the necessary bond needed for a stable relationship. Venus encompasses the elements of the Descendant but also represents the necessary magnetism, attraction, and ineffable "something" that Harrison knew so well that is important in long-term commitments.
