Pluto-Jupiter: Power is to be enjoyed! Pluto-Saturn, you are so self denying! Ambition and desire are to be exploited and have a unique purpose for the individual. Success and acheivement are the royal road to fulfillment. Live life to the fullest!!

Pluto-Neptune: All of you are merely speaking partial truths. All drive, ambition, desire are simply aspects of the one divine reality endless searching to manifest more of itself. In the end, we will be aware that the quickest route to return to divinity and the state of unification with the Absolute is through compassion.

Pluto-Mercury: It is only through the competitive strife of belief, ideas, and communication that true progress is made. The religious, corporate, and political leaders of the world are merely acting out belief systems until the next belief system changes the playing field. It is the intellectual who courageously challenges outmoded paradigms of thinking who makes the most significant impact on the world.

Pluto-Mars: Ideas lay stagnate until the assertion and will power of individuals see belief systems to their completion.

Pluto-Moon: But without insight and feeling this assertiveness is more destructive than productive.

Pluto-Mars: Such is the nature of the beast. I make no apologies.

Pluto-Neptune: A worthless and empty beast without insight into the spiritual nature of reality.

Pluto-Venus: The spiritual is just a regressive fantasy of sublimation for those who have not come to terms with their sexual instincts.

And on and on. Given the intensity of Pluto, this debate would go on for a long, long time. What should become clear through this fantasy dialogue is that there is not one--but many--deepest motivations.

People often act in accordance to what Pluto strikes in their birthchart. If this mode of expression is blocked, if this channel to one's own power is not open, it will create frustration, anger, depression, rage, and resentment.

A Pluto-Moon person, if not allowed to have "lunar food" through an emotionally supportive environment will feel frustrated. Thus, the high seat of "power" in corporate board rooms is not always the right place for such an individual.

Likewise, a Pluto-Mars person will become frustrated in the empathic environment of group therapy. The Pluto-Saturn person will feel completely out-of-sorts in the wild abandon of a love-in, but it might be the right environment for Pluto-Uranus. And so on.

By opening up to these hidden--sometimes forbidden--motivations and desires, we will begin to realize that we have underestimated the answer to the question, "What really drives the human?"
