Jupiter influencing Uranus
is very much like combining the sporadic jolts of energy generated by several
bug zappers and transmuting them into the extraordinary power of bolts of
energy generated by a mammoth tesla coil. Jupiter, then, takes the sporadic,
creative storms generated by Uranus and shifts them more to the center of
collective awareness. Those with a special proclivity for sniffing out the
Uranus archetype at work are able to witness–firsthand–the magnificence of
the Jupiter-Uranus display and are able to immediately intuit the significance
that such events will have on societies in the years that follow.
Like the charged particles
of ionized air that slowly dissipate after the strike of the tesla coil, the
impact of Jupiter-Uranus events weave into the main fabric of society, having
far-reaching implications and broad consequences on the course of cultural
evolution.
The biologist Stephen
Jay Gould and others postulate that biological evolution occurs in dramatic
and concentrated leaps of novelty, as opposed to a steady stream of continuous
unfoldment. Similarly, cultures appear to grow not by a consistent process
of creative addition, but by leaps and bounds at critical junctures in time.
The Jupiter-Uranus conjunctions and oppositions represent a significant portion
of these societal growth spurts. Jupiter-Uranus events appear to come out
of nowhere, like radically new forms emerging instantaneously out of cultural
"quantum foam." Thus, culture skips a beat in its usual rhythm during these
times; Jupiter-Uranus conjunctions and oppositions are literally a wrinkle
in time where creativity bunches up on itself.
Although music is often
relegated to the domain of the Neptunian archetype, Jupiter-Uranus conjunctions
and oppositions can easily
be seen and heard in the evolution of music.
