Uranus has cycled
backed
twice to its
discovery position
of
24'29" Gemini

The first cycle was completed
in 1862-3. The second go-around finished in 1947-8. We might look at these
cycles as a collective deepening and further unfurling of the archetypal associations
of Uranus; we are peeling away the layers of the implications of the Uranian
archetype of individual freedom, technology, progress, and innovation. |

It can also be said that
as an outer planet returns to the zodiacal position where it was discovered,
the same archetypal manifestations can be observed–the same “spikes” of
Uranian archetypal manifestations of 1781 were also present in 1862-3
and 1947-8.
1862 and 1863 were the years of the Emancipation Proclamation and the Gettysburg Address, respectively.
Both historic events were a deepening of the democratic ideals set in motion
with the American Revolution.
Although originally fought for economic reasons, certainly the greatest outcome of the U. S. Civil
War was the abolition of slavery and the extension of democratic freedom,
set forth by the Emancipation Proclamation. In the Gettysburg Address,
Lincoln specifically renewed the nation’s commitment to the principles
of democracy set forth at the time of Uranus’s discovery.
